Talk To Talent Mentorships

We connect young athletes to older athletes for guidance, advice, stories, support, and overall mentorship within their sport. Our mission is to help prepare young athletes for the trials they'll face as they grow in their athletic career, as well as to help support older athletes financially and through the many benefits being a formal mentor brings.

Why Mentorships Within Your Sport?

"A mentor is someone who sees more talent and ability within you, than you see in yourself, and helps bring it out of you" - Bob Proctor

"If you cannot see where you are going, ask someone who has been there before." - J Loren Norris

“The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image, but giving them the opportunity to create themselves.” - Steven Spielberg

“In learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn.” - Phil Collins

Growth

At Talk To Talent Mentorships, we have a team of experienced and talented athletes dedicated to helping young players achieve their goals and build the mental skills/techniques needed to thrive in the world of sports. We understand the unique challenges that young athletes face, and are here to provide guidance and support for athletes, by athletes.

About The Vision

The inspiration for this program first came from when I was a baseball player at UC Davis. I participated in a student-athlete run club called Athlete Guidance and Support (AGS). It was focused around best practices for performance and mental health within the athlete community. I appreciated being able to talk to older athletes that may have gone through similar experiences as I, and could offer me guidance. I recognized the mutual benefit of being both the mentor and mentee, hence the vision for Talk To Talent Mentorships.

Now, high school and collegiate student-athlete's can financially benefit from their name, image, and likeness (finally). I've had so many teammates in college and professional baseball barely scraping by, working odd jobs in the mornings before games, not being able to afford their basic needs, while still being asked to show up and perform at an elite level. This program is designed to help support those athletes. By giving them a platform to share their most valuable asset, their experience of getting to the higher levels of sports, which can be shared with young athletes nationwide. We give them a majority of your payment, because we're created by athletes, for the athletes. Our program truly provides a mutually beneficial relationship for both sides, and allows for the mentee to obtain valuable information in areas such as the mental side of sports, proper training methods, and mechanical tips, all right from the horse's mouth.

Our hope is that Talk To Talent Mentorships allows for you to be inspired, learn, and develop as a person/athlete from one of our elite mentors.
